When you choose to hire one of our associate photographers, you are making a great choice! You get an incredibly talented photographer who has worked, trained, and mentored with Becca for years. At the same time, all of your communication, planning, editing and delivery is still through Becca, so you will still get the quality of service and colors as you have seen throughout the site.
When deciding if an associate photographer will work for your day, It is as simple as this: Do you love their work? Are they within your budget? Then what are you waiting for?!

An associate photographers is a photographer that is hired work for another photographer or business. It is a photographer who has a similar shooting style, but may not cost quite as much. You most often hear about an associate photographer when the main photographer you wanted to book is too expensive or already booked for your date.

All of our associates have extensively shot with Becca and also been trained by her in various ways. All have second shot and/or mentored under Becca for at least one year, and been a photographer for over 5 years before coming on as an associate photographer. Becca still does all of the editing , so the pictures will look just like all the rest you have seen on this website.

As previously mentioned, the associate photographers package prices are less expensive than booking Becca herself.
People often associate cheaper with not as good, however if you were to hunt down these girls and their own businesses (because yes, they each have their own thriving photography businesses as well!), chances are they would be more expensive than the associate packages.
Why is this?! Because we work as a team. Becca takes on the bulk of the workload with all of the behind the scenes work and they are the one who gets to shoot. This enables BSP to shoot up to 4 weddings on a Saturday. This also allows those photographers to not have to take on the business expenses of having those weddings under their own brand, and extra workload of editing after the wedding.

Hiring an associate photographer can be confusing (and even scary)! You might be afraid they are not as experienced as the main photographer since they are often less expensive. However, the associate photographer being cheaper is due to the fact that separate people are taking on more of the workload. The associate is the one who gets to do the actual shooting of the wedding or engagement, but they don’t have to do any of the other work, as the owner of the company is often the one who does the client communication, editing and delivery of the final gallery. They also don’t take on any of the business expenses.
Our associate photographers have all worked with Becca for years as lead and second shooters, and have been mentored by her personally. She takes the quality of work her brand produces very personally, and would never hire an associate that doesn’t meet her ridiculously high standards of talent AND care for her couples.

As of 2024, I am no longer personally accepting. weddings - but that doesn’t mean you can’t still have the amazing BSP experience I have created over the last 15+ years.
When you book a BSP associate for your wedding, you get a photographer specifically assigned to you that fits best with your personality. You don’t have to worry about what photographer will show up on your wedding day - you’ll know right from the start. Plus, all of your planning, editing and final delivery is still done by Becca, so you get her special touch and experience at your fingertips.
Each of our associate photographers was chosen and trained extensively by Becca. They are extremely talented, and also are passionate about making sure their couples have the absolute best wedding days ever. Our associate photographer runs their own photography businesses on top of associate shooting for BSP - these aren’t just part time photographers. And while it might seem a bit crazy that they want to add more onto their already busy schedules, they love getting to celebrate with even more amazing couples, without having to do any of the extensive editing that comes afterwards!
